Hi Tatjana,

I'd like to tell you a little story of how mineral makeup changed my life.

I grew up a shy little girl in Alaska, with very low self esteem.

When I was nine years old, I got my first pimple.

ARG!!! It was terrible!

I wore a band-aid on my nose to cover it up, but that was just as bad. That day at school was so awful and embarrassing.

Little did I know that it was to continue on for YEARS.

The acne began to get worse as I got into my teenage years.

I was so shy I could barely say hi to other kids in the hall at school.

When I was 14, we moved to Arkansas, and my shyness increased.

I didn't know anybody, I felt ugly and uncomfortable and was just miserable and OH, so lonely.

I just wanted to look like all the "normal" kids with clear skin!

I didn't wear ANY makeup at all growing up, as I felt (in my weird little prude brain) that it was vain and a sin.

Eventually, in my late teens, I broke down and started wearing a little concealer from Wal-Mart. Then I tried foundation (liquid).

It helped some because it covered some of my blemishes and smoothed my complexion out.

But many days, it would look orange, or there would be streaks and I'd be SO terribly embarrassed and try to pull my hair over my face.

Plus it made my acne worse, with all its chemicals and goop!

I didn't understand why my face continued to break out and I never could find a good makeup to cover it.

Nearing the end of my last semester of college, I began hearing good things about mineral makeup.

Honestly, it sounded WAY too good to be true. A makeup that covered better than liquid, looked totally natural AND was a loose powder?

I really didn't believe it at all.

One day, my sister called, saying she had ordered in some mineral makeup and she had bought me a kit. WOO HOO! I'd finally get to try it and really see if it worked!

Well, it did. And it didn't.

This was one of the larger, national brands. It did look like natural skin, which I loved. But it didn't quite cover as much as I would have liked for it to. Plus it was a little... shiny. Which I didn't need. Not to say I don't like a dewy look from time to time, but walking around looking like the Tin Man's sister wasn't enjoyable.

Well, having done crafts my entire life (it's an obsession!), I decided to give a whirl to making mineral makeup.

After much, MUCH experimentation, I developed a foundation that I loved. It looked creamy, it FELT silky, it gave a natural look to the face (not dry and matte, but not shiny either... just perfectly in between like natural skin), it covered all my flaws and matched my skin tone!

I began wearing this foundation every day. Along with research into natural skin care, my skin actually began to clear up FINALLY.

To this day, I literally get several compliments a week on my skin. People will stop me while I'm out shopping and tell me what pretty skin I have.

When I'm telling others about my makeup, they'll mention how wonderful my skin looks and how it just glows and appears so smooth.

I say this not to brag at all. I lived all my growing-up years in misery, with red, inflamed skin.

So to hear any compliment at all, is always a miracle to me.

I no longer have to worry about any pimple that might try to appear... it'll be gone overnight because I'm not slathering liquid chemicals all over it.

I don't have to wear my hair in my face to try and hide orange makeup lines on my face.

I can feel confident and just... perfectly... normal. At last!

So, although it might sound like a terrible exaggeration to say that mineral makeup changed my life, I can say with honesty and joy that, it indeed did. (Now if I could only find a product to tame this unruly, curly hair of mine!)

Seriously, you don't have to waste another day feeling less than confident about your skin. Minerals can truly make a difference in how you look and feel.

And it takes only a few minutes to apply!

It's natural, pure and so versatile...

It contains natural sunscreens, is virtually water- and sweat-proof (yes, you can even swim and workout while wearing it and it won't come off!), lasts all day without touchups, blends beautifully into your skin tone, is very inexpensive (amounts to less than .10 a day on average) and many more benefits.

I love it and many others have come to love it, swearing they'll never go back to liquid makeup...

It truly can make a difference in your life.

Till next time...
