Hello Tatjana,

Today's lesson is all about creating the best look for your lips!

Without further ado, here were go!

First... Exfoliate.

Just like for your face, your lips need scrubbed as well. Use your
toothbrush, sugar or salt and scrub your lips every few days to
keep any dry skin off of them.

Be gentle!

I recommend you do this at night, so that you can apply a thick,
luscious lip balm afterwards and go to sleep.

You will wake up with fabulous lips!

Now, for day time, you have several options.

-You can use lip balm for a soft, healthy glow. I recommend
this if you lead an active lifestyle or are a more natural type
(like me!).

**Stick with an all-natural brand if possible and try to avoid any
with petrolatum or petroleum products (like mineral oil) in them.
This type of ingredient will only clog your pores and cells,
suffocating your skin. It then becomes even more dry and you
become dependent on that product.

-If you feel you'd like a little more OOMPH to your look, try lip
gloss. These come in ALL colors and provide a wash of creamy color
to your lips, while also supplying good oils and butters to keep
the lips soft and supple.

Again, stick with all natural as much as possible. Buy at your local
health food store or online.

If you work in a very professional setting or any other place that
requires a more dressy look (or for nighttime!), use lipstick.

Creamy lipsticks will keep your lips softer, but won't last as long
throughout the day.

Long-lasting lipsticks will be firmer, so won't feel as creamy or
nourishing.

Take your pick.

Use all-natural whenever possible. Remember that whatever you put
on your lips, you ultimately end up eating. Yummy, huh?

**(It is estimated that the average woman eats 6 lbs of lipstick
in her lifetime.)

Fill your lips with lip liner, making sure to get a clean edge to
the outside of the lips. Then fill in with your matching lipstick
color, blot with a tissue or loose powder, and reapply the
lipstick. Voila.
Beautiful, long-lasting lip color.

I recommend choosing a shade that matches your blush or bronzer. It
doesn't have to be the SAME color, but it should at least
correspond.

EXAMPLES:

If you choose a warm toned blush, like peach, apricot, terracotta
or rust, then stick with a similar lip color.

If you choose a cool toned blush, like mauve, hot pink or blue red,
then stick with a similar lip color.

Color choosing was covered in Day 3 of the guide, but I really
wanted to stress it to you.

It will make your life so much easier!
